history

Webster Hall is one of the oldest and most iconic event spaces in all of New York City. Initially opened as a "hall for hire" in 1886, it hosted a variety of events including weddings, lectures, and rallies throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries. By 1950, the Hall had been established as an excellent concert venue as well, and was purchased by RCA records in 1958 as a recording studio for its incredible acoustics. It 1970, it was purchased by Unity Gallega, who operate it to this day.
