intro
The Chocolate Factory in Brooklyn serves as a vibrant multi-use creative hub that honors the industrial legacy of its historic neighborhood. Located in the heart of Bed-Stuy, the complex now hosts a diverse community of artists, entrepreneurs, and residents within its expansive loft spaces.
history
Originally built in the late 19th century, the facility once served as a major manufacturing plant for the Rockwood & Company chocolate empire. After the company ceased operations in the 1960s, the massive brick structure was eventually decommissioned and reimagined into the iconic mixed-use development seen today.

IYKYK, but if you don’t yet, just know that mead is kinda like a sweet n’ funky wine, and Honey’s is one of the few places in NY that makes it well. There’s a great rooftop (that feels like your artist friend’s apartment in Bushwick) where you can often catch local DJs spinning, a small bar inside, and a massive Meadery lit up by a disco ball where you’ll also find cool release parties, community events, and more. If you need some fuel, grab a bite at Bunker Vietnamese just next door.
